November
News
October
was been another exciting month for owners with Heart of the South
Racing with many of our race horses running well or
improving.
John
and I are both at the Tattersalls Horses In Training Sales this
week with the hope to purchase some more winners and our three
yearlings are also now in their pre-training which is going well.
Further details of shares for sale in our new additions will be
available next week.

SOUTH
CAPE by Cape Cross –
Since our last newsletter, SOUTH CAPE went on to score a thrilling
victory at Goodwood in the same race he won last year! He followed
up with a respectable outing in the Class 2 Totesport Cup at Ascot.
His final race of the season will be at Lingfield Park this
Thursday 30 October over 7f and we are confident. As the 2008 flat
season draws to an end, we do have a few shares available in SOUTH
CAPE. A surprise, as tough, genuine, sound individuals like SOUTH
CAPE can be hard to come by. Please contact us for further
information on becoming involved in this successful partnership.
Owner hotline press 11 for SOUTH CAPE.

| GOODWOOD
STARLIGHT by Mtoto - Trainer Gary Moore – On
Tuesday 28 October we purchased GOODWOOD STARLIGHT at the
Horses in Training sale at Newmarket. A winner of 4 races he will
go into training with Gary Moore in Sussex. Details of shares will
be announced soon. |

KASHMINA
by Dr Fong - Trainer Sheena West –
This partnership is now full and Owners are delighted with their
purchase after KASHMINA’s promising hurdling debut at Kempton Park
this month. She jumped a little green and went wide, but still
finished less than 4 lengths behind two very highly thought of
horses. “I will be more confident to make the running next time out
and I’m sure your filly will win” reported Jamie Goldstein after
the race. KASHMINA will now go to Huntingdon on Wednesday 5
November or Saturday 22 November in the £20,000 Introductory
Hurdle. Owner Hotline dial 12 for KASHMINA.

TOBAGO
BAY by Tobougg - Trainer Sheena West – Who
would have thought this time last year TOBAGO BAY would be
finishing third at Cheltenham?! It was certainly a dream come true
for his owners and the tough little horse certainly loved the
testing track. He will return to Cheltenham for the Paddy Power
meeting next month but his main aim will be the Fred Winter Hurdle
at the 2009 Cheltenham Festival. He is now rated 127 and is the
second highest rated juvenile in the country. All credit has to go
to Sheena and her team – we cannot thank them enough. Owner
hotline press button 13 for TOBAGO BAY.

OR
JAUNE (Fr) by Grand Tressor - Fontwell Park Racing
– The
anticipation is really starting to build up in this partnership as
OR JAUNE’s chasing debut approaches. At our stable visit this
weekend, Owners in attendance saw a powerful OR JAUNE work
exceptionally well up both Gary Moore’s two all-weather gallops and
then school over his brand new fences – where he jumped like a
stag! It was a great morning and we look forward to seeing everyone
again at Huntingdon on Wednesday 5 November where OR JAUNE will be
in the 2mile 4f Novice Chase. Owner hotline press 15 for OR
JAUNE

ENTHUSIUS
by Generous – Fontwell Park Racing –
After the summer off, ENTHUISUS is now back in full training at
Gary Moore’s fabulous new stables near Gatwick. Gary and his team
are amazed at just how well ENTHUSUIS is and report “the horse is
like a lion, so strong and powerful. You have some exciting times
ahead with this fellow!” As owners will be aware, there is
open-access with all our trainers and we encourage those involved
in ENTHUSIUS to come and see his development for yourself. Owner

EYE
FOR THE GIRLS by BERTOLINI –
After showing so much promise on the gallops, it was a bitterly
disappointing run from EYE FOR THE GIRLS on his racecourse debut at
Brighton. Due to being completely left in the stalls, the horse was
consequently ½ a furlong behind and remained so throughout the
race. He will obviously come on a huge amount from this outing and
Mick and his team promise us he will run better next time out –
which looks to be at Newmarket this Friday 31 November over 7f.

PRIMA
FONTEYN by IMPERIAL DANCER – The
change in scenery has so far worked wonders for PRIMA FONTEYN.
After a little “trial and error” shall we say, Sheena and her team
are now getting the best from the filly and at a recent stable
visit she worked equally well with our very own TOBAGO BAY. Sheena
has even popped her over a few jumps to keep her thinking and this
morning described the filly as a “keen, enthusiastic individual who
can win.” PRIMA FONTEYN is now a few weeks away from being ready
and Sheena has pencilled in Mon 17 November at Kempton (1mile 2f)
or Sat 22 November at Wolverhampton over 1mile. Owner hotline
press 22 for PRIMA FONTEYN.

MOSHAHED
by Nashwan –
Fontwell Park Racing – Unfortunately, the lovely MOSHAHED
picked up a slight leg last month just before he was due to run at
Southwell over fences. Brendan had reported the horse was working
and jumping well so it came as a big disappointment. The good news
however is it was not serious and, after a short break, he is now
back on the walker and will hopefully return to before Christmas.
We look forward to seeing his Owners at Fontwell Park on 7 November
for our get-together. Owner hotline press 23 for
MOSHAHED.

DICEY
AFFAIR by MEDICEAN -
Trainer Gary Moore – On her second outing at Newbury earlier
this month, DICEY AFFAIR ran considerably better, finishing a close
seventh behind some decent horses. Ryan Moore gave her a positive
ride and was pleased with her efforts and after the race reported
“she has speed, and horses with speed win races.” She is currently
a lightly built filly but is very willing and we will see a big
difference in her once she has matured and strengthened over the
winter. In the meantime, she is due to run at Lingfield Park this
Thursday 30 October over 7f, after which is will be handicapped.
Owner hotline press 24 for DICEY AFFAIR.

SHOW
JUMPING –
Justin Tuff plans to give WHITE STAR a run-out at The
Hand Equestrian Centre this week ready for next week's Winter
Novice qualifiers. We also are working towards the Royal
International Horse Show qualifiers in November. Justin has decided
to turn out CHINA GIRL and his other 6 year old
Ballyzach. Both horses have all their qualifiers under their belts
and Justin feels he is just competing them for the sake of it. Both
horses will have a good rest and be ready for 7 year old classes in
the New Year.
