SOUTH CAPE by Cape
Cross – South Cape is now
back in full-training at Mick Channon’s. He has settled into his
racing routine great and at a recent stable visit looked an
absolute picture, muscling up but still retaining condition since
his return. After such a great season in 2007, we are hopeful of a
repeat performance this year and South Cape will be aimed at
7furlong/mile races at the likes of Ascot (including Royal Ascot)
Goodwood and Chester where we know he runs well. Owner hotline
press 11 for SOUTH CAPE.

RUBILINI by
Bertolini - After her win
at Southwell, it has been somewhat difficult to place Rubilini on
the flat. Trainer Sheena West feels that trying a stint over
hurdles is the best option to win races. She has been schooled and
taken to jumping no problem. The recent wet weather has meant the
ground has not been suitable for the filly but Sheena plans to make
some entries in the next week or so – Plumpton on 21st
April looking a strong possibility. Owner hotline press button 12
for RUBILINI.

TOBAGO BAY by
Tobougg – We have now
seen three encouraging runs from Tobago Bay and it appears the
penny has final dropped. It was clear on his last outing at
Lingfield Park however that the horse just needs further. 3-year
old only races over 1mile 6/2miles begin to emerge in June/July
accordingly so Tobago Bay will now have a 4 week rest until he has
his preferred distances. His owners also like the idea of sending
their horse juvenile hurdling and that too looks a strong
possibility once the new jumps season is underway. Owner hotline
press button 13 for TOBAGO BAY.

ALMIZAN by
Darshan – Almizan was due
to run at Kempton Park last week in a 3mile chase but due to all
the rain Gary felt it wasn’t worth risking the horse’s confidence
on soft ground. He is entered for Plumpton this Monday
7th April in a Novice Handicap Chase over 2mile
4furlongs. Gary believes the conditions of this race will suit
Almizan and, if he can put in a clear round, should stand a very
good chance. The trip is a little short but there are limited races
over 3miles in April, the next possibility being at Wincanton on
Sunday 20th April. Owner hotline press 14 for
ALMIZAN.

this partnership as Or Jaune is now very nearly ready to be back

CUBAN RHYTHM by Kingmambo
– Good News regarding
this promising filly. She is now back in full-training and, after a
short course of treatment from the Chiropractor, seems to be
working impressively. At a recent stable visit she looked in good
shape and was certainly keen to get about her job, on her toes and
taking a good hold. Roger’s 3-year olds are just starting to appear
on the track and he feels this filly is only 4-5 weeks away. She
will probably go over a mile to begin with but will want 10-12
furlongs eventually. Owner hotline press 16 for CUBAN
RHYTHM.

ENTHUSIUS by Generous –
Fontwell Park Racing –
Enthusius continues to be on the walker everyday since picking-up a
slight tendon strain earlier on this year. The good news is that
the injury was not serious and trainer Gary Moore is hopeful to
have him back on the track in October. We are confident of exciting
things to come from this big individual who has already won two
races and showed a great deal of promise. Owner hotline press 17
for ENTHUSIUS.

RHODE ISLAND RED by Tale of
the Cat – This filly is
back in full-training after having a short break. She took a slight
knock to her rear-hind when at Wolverhampton last time out but
speaking to trainer Harry Dunlop this morning, he reported she had
worked enthusiastically and moved very well. He feels it will only
take him 4/5 weeks to get her back to race fitness and will now
start looking for races on the turf, over a straight mile towards
the end of April/beginning of May. Owner hotline press button 18
for RHODE ISLAND RED.

CLEAR
DAYLIGHT by DAYLAMI –
Great news! Clear Daylight is now back in full-training at John
Best’s. This son of Daylami is expected to really come into himself
as a three-year old especially as he can go over middle distances
and has matured over the winter. We will arrange a visit to see
Clear Daylight once his buttons are pushed thus getting a good idea
of his race plan for 2008. Owner hotline press 19 for CLEAR
DAYLIGHT.

TIM
(stable name) an unnamed 2yo colt by BERTOLINI–
Trainer John Best gets his youngsters going up the gallops early
then brings them back to walking, thus allowing time to grow and
mature. This strategy has certainly worked with our Bertolini colt
who is now looking an absolute picture. His summer coat is through,
he has grown a great deal, is now back cantering and John Best is
very pleased with his development. Our next stable visit has been
arranged for Saturday 12th April at 10am – we would be
delighted if you could join us. Please call Eloise on 0780 9087136
to book your place. Owner hotline press 21 for TINY
TIM.

NELLY
(stable name) an unnamed 2yo filly by IMPERIAL
DANCER –
This filly continues to develop well at Mick Channon’s as her
training programme is stepped up. Imperial Dancer offspring (there
are 28 in total in 2008) are now starting to appear on track,
Mick’s Imperial Skylight finishing a close third last week at
Kempton Park. The West Ilsely team are hopeful this filly will be
racing by late May and she will go over 6 or 7 furlongs initially.
One share still remains in this exciting partnership for only £750
with top two-year trainer Mick Channon. Owner hotline press 22
for NELLY.

MOSHAHED
by Nashwan –
Fontwell Park Racing – A big, bold horse with a large frame,
Moshahed is now enjoying a few months rest in preparation for his
chasing career over the summer (by Nashwan, our fellow does prefer
better ground.) He is out in the paddocks everyday, already
filling-out and is due to commence roadwork early May. Owners are
welcome to visit their horse whenever they wish, please call Eloise
or John the day before to confirm. Owner hotline press 23 for
MOSHAHED.

LINDY
LOU (stable name) an unnamed 2yo filly by MEDICEAN–
Since this filly has been in full-training at Gary Moore’s, she has
really excelled and is now making a very good impression on his
Horsham gallops. She works with some very classy 2-year old colts
Gary recently bought from the breeze-up sales and easily holds her
own – no wonder interest in her is high! We now have just 5 shares
remaining in his promising partnership at only £1850 for a 5%
stake. Why not see her working on the gallops for yourself at our
next stable visit on Friday 19th April? Owner hotline
press 24 for LINDY LOU.
