The Shuffler a gelding by unbeaten Australian champion Reset

This 3-year old gelding is trained by Gary Moore at Cisswood near Gatwick, Sussex. A home bred by Australian sprinter Reset out of our own mare Lucky Dice, he was a precocious early two year old. However he slightly lost his way on the racecourse after an excellent fourth at Goodwood in a Class 2 Nursery, despite working well at home. He came back much stronger after his winter break though, and has won at Chepstow and Brighton despite being 12lb higher in the weights. He will be back in action once there is a bit more cut in the ground.

First time out as a 3-year old after the winter off to grow and mature, THE SHUFFLER romps home winning easily by 3 lengths.

Trainer Gary Moore has always thought a lot of The Shuffler but the horse was yet to transfer his abilty from the gallops to the track. Gary says, "He has shown a big improvement stepping up in distance to 1 mile."

Sam Hitchcott reported, "Once settled in travelled beautifully. Considering I had to take him wide he has done well to win by 3 lengths. I think he could be even better over 1 mile 2 furlongs."

The SHUFFLERS sire RESET was an unbeaten Australian champion from sprint distances to a mile and he was regarded as one of best during his racing days in the Southern Hemisphere.

He is now hailed as a leading stallion and got off to a flyer down under, siring 3 stakes winners from his first crop and more recently a Group 1 winner, Rebel Raider.

Rebel Raider's win promotes Reset to pole position in the leading second-season sires' table with prize-money of $1,036,865, more than $400,000 clear of his nearest pursuers, fellow Darley stallions, Exceed And Excel and Lohnro.

In the Northern Hemisphere, SAXFORD in particular is a highly rated European Stakes winner by RESET and cost only £2,500 as a yearling!

Cantering around the school teaches a horse to be balanced and this fellow does it well.
