After a superb first season together,
Heart of the South Racing is looking forward to working with Joe
Tuite more closely in 2012. Our latest partnership horse with Joe
is a well built filly by fashionable sprinting sire, KHELEYF, a
stallion who is described as "brilliantly bred and brilliantly
fast!" Purchased in Ireland by Joe last autumn, this strong
yearling filly caught Joe's eye as a strong early
type.
After a vote amongst her owners the
filly was named BHELEYF and she has gone on to prove Joe right,
being ready for action on the very first day on the new flat season
on 31st March 2012. She ran a really good race, showing a good
attitude and plenty of speed, and she will surely be winning races
very soon. She will be out again in April and is certainly a filly
to watch.

By mid March
BHELEYF is almost unrecognisable as the filly below! She has done
really well, growing and strengthening and having herself ready to
run on day 1 of the new season.

BHELEYF
looks more like (and works with) a 3 year old. She is Joe's most
forward 2 year old and certainly the most forward 2 year old that
Heart of the South have ever had

The above
pictures were taken at our recent stable visit in January. The
filly has been cantering on Joe Tuite's gallops for several weeks
now and is she is looking like a real racehorse!
As you can see she is a powerful type with
a real sprinters bottom. She is still on track to make an early
debut this turf season and Joe couldn't be happier with her
progress "She does two good canters everyday and all we need to do
is wash down her girth mark. She is finding it all very
easy."

This filly was only a yearling when the
picture opposite was taken at Fawley House Stud while she was on
holiday, but she already she looks particularly strong and has
plenty of natural muscle.
Her sire,
KHELEYF, is a muscular speed sire by GREEN DESERT who is an
outstanding provider of juvenile (2-year old) talent. He was
Europe's Champion first-season sire of his year and has had 16
juvenile Stakes horses from his first four seasons. Let's hope this
filly adds to his already impressive
record.
KHELEYF is
just one of a long list of world-class stallions GREEN DESERT has
produced. Some others include (to name a few) CAPE CROSS,
INVINCIBLE SPIRIT and OASIS DREAM!
There is
also plenty of take from the dam's side too. RISPOTO, the second
dam, has produced 6 winners from 8 foals of racing age and our
KHELEYF filly comes from the family of HIGHDOWN (Group winner) and
ELSHADI (Group placed.) |
