On 5th March
at Newbury TOBAGO BAY won his fourth race, a class 3 hurdle over 2
miles and 5 furlongs, in impressive style. The horse won three
novice hurdles in 2008/2009 and was once rated as high as 139 and a
7 length victory at Plumpton. Off marks in the 130s he ran some
great races in defeat carrying top weight, but since May 2010 had
lost his form.
He moved to
Gary Moore in the hope that a change of scenery and routine might
freshen him up. It worked! He showed signs of a return to form in
an all weather start recently and Gary has been waiting for better
ground to try him over hurdles
again.
At Newbury
he really enjoyed running from the front, jumped brilliantly as
usual and really battled to hold on for a 1/2 length
success. Congratulations to all his owners and Gary Moore.
